I am running my OS on RAID1, with the pagefile on a RAID0 partition.
If i remove one drive (simulated failure) should the OS still boot?
Or do i need to plug in a second HDD for it to rebuild, before it will boot windows?
Because the other day, i accidently disconnected one of my HDDs while plugging in a USB header, and it failed to boot (no o/s detected, please insert system disk). I plugged the other drive back in, and it booted and then in windows, and rebuilt.
In this review, they swap one of the drives for a third drive, and boot, they don't just remove one drive.
It seems kinda pointless if i need to buy a third drive to be able to boot from my RAID1 volume, if one of my drives fails.
