Video freezes when using a PCI card.

When watching a video via a PCI card on my PC it always locks up with a loud solid beep coming through the speakers. I have tried 2 different PCI cards (FX5200 and a 6200), tried via VGA and DVI, tried with no hardware acceleration, tried at default CPU clock speed, tried with PCI as primary video device all to no avail.

Edit: Also tried WMP and VLC players using opengl and directx

    Spec:

    Galaxy 6800GT GFX AGP
    PNY 6200 GFX PCI
    Asus A8V Deluxe MoBo
    2GB Geil Value RAM
    OCZ 600W PSU

    Any ideas chaps? Cheers.

    Try reinstalling the GPU driver?
I had similar situation before and the only way to solve it was to reinstall windows.

Reinstalled the drivers. I'm pretty sure it did this on my old installation of windows with the 5200

Well it still does this after changing PCI slots and reinstalling windows. All on a non overclocked PC. This is very annoying now,any ideas at all?
