    Windows XP 64bit

Is 64bit Windows worth trying, is it faster/better?

i keep hearing mixed opinions on it so kind of confused what to do.

Do 32 bit programs still work on it?

    Will my games still work?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

    No
    yes
yes, but driver support isnt in the same league as 32bit XP

Don't bother with it. It was a lemon for the home user.

I've been using WInXP64 for a couple of years now.
It seems fine and run games with no probs apart from a couple of older games (3 yrs+).
It seems stable to me and quick and efficient too.

XP X64 really is a great OS, it is quick and more responsive than the 32bit variant.
You will have trouble finding support and drivers for older or more obscure hardware, but ive been lucky enough to find what ive needed, in the main!
As posted before, older games tend to not want to run, as does some software.... afew tweaks are even needed to get some Adobe products to run.

Basically, if u requre a 64bit OS (i.e. 4GB mem etc) and can obtain drivers for ur kit, stick with it...its worth it...

    Even better get Vista x64
