Unhappy Asus Digital home only on older motherboards?

I am about to buy a QX6850 extreme intel CPU running at an external 1333Mhz FSB.
I need a computer with a remote such as the Asus digital home series but these only run at 1033Mhz fsb!!
I have e-mailed asus and they say they dont have anything to meet my demands and that the remote could not be used on other motherboards such as the Asus Striker NF680i SLI motherboard.
Does anyone know what kind of configuration i could use.
i need a similar motherboard to the asus striker but with a remote capable to launch applications and turn off the computer.
Does anyone know of any motherboard to meet my demands?
    thanks

Can't you just buy a 3rd party remote like the ATI Remote Wonder?

Re: Asus Digital home only on older motherboards?

yes but according to tech spec on scan, it doesnt support sli either.
id rather buy a better motherboard that im sure is stable rather than updating bios on an older motherboard and not being sure that its going to be 100% ok.
My new system is going to cost around £2000 so id like to make sure its got a good mobo!!
thanks for the idea tho shathis
