    Unhappy Crash Dumps In Vista!

    Hey All,

I have been running vista ultimate 64-bit since it first came out, and it has been fine, now it has started giving me crash dumps whenever i turn it on after a few minutes. But when i run the same hardware in XP it works but i get GFX lag and Sound lag all the time.

I did a Memory test and it was fine, so its definately not the RAM that is causing the problem.
Also i have tried 3 different Hard Drives and still had no success.

Have you got any ideas what the problem could be?

    My hardware is:

AMD Athlon64 4000 San Diego Retail
    Asrock 939Dual SATA2 Socket 939
    Corsair 2GB PC3200 Value Select
    Creative Augidy2
    ATI Radeon X1600 Series 256mb

    Many Thanks, Martin Burn

    Re: Crash Dumps In Vista!

There is a tutorial here on how to read the dumps saved by Windows (in Vista you have to run the debug exe in administrator mode by right clicking and choosing "run as... etc":

If you haven't tried yet give it a go

You missed your PSU from those specs by the way.

The make is more important than the stated output.
