The P5K does, so I would imagine the P5KC will as well, since it's the same chipset

P35 chipset can support the new 45nm cpus when it is out , but the 975 can't.

the asus one support DDR2 and DDR3 rom but the abit one does not.

The P35-DS3P does support Crossfire to my knowledge.

    They all support Crossfire but 975X is 8X, 8X while P35 is 16X, 4X.

P5KC and GA-P35-DS3P are newer board designs, there is also a Gigabyte with 2 slots for DDR3 memory if you think you'll ever get around to it (like the P5KC) which is here (P35C-DS3R):

    It doesn't support Crossfire though.

Limitation is not in chipsets, but in Voltage regulator module standart. For 45nm support VRM11 is required. Most of the modern 975X based boards have VRM10. Other part has VRM9
