WAnting to set up paid for wireless internet in a small hotel

I've been looking at this thing:

    http://www.solwise.co.uk/wireless-hotspot-was-102r.htm

Coupled with a few of these:

    http://www.solwise.co.uk/wireless-el-ncb-3220.htm

It's for an 18 room hotel. Owner wants internet access in all rooms and around the hotel.

I'm not new to wireless networks but I am new to paid access.

Is this the easiest way to go about it? The little printer situated at reception?

the only other solution like this i've seen relies on using ADSL from BT/The Cloud.

This looks good though as i think The Cloud system acts on comission rather than straight revenue.

One of my clients is a smal hotel. They use a system by Zyxel, which has a small printer, and a central control box with Wireless repeaters scattered arounfd the hotel:

Just looked at The Cloud. Think he's looking for something just for the hotel users as it's in a prety remote spot, but thanks.

Looks like the same kind of thing I was looking at. Does the system work ok? Easy to set up?

Well...they are already using it, so I guess it's easy and works well :-)

Not too hard to set up and configure at all.

Just remember the advantage of support from a big manufacturer. And (in my experience) Zyxel kit is pretty good.

So how does it work then? do they have to use a computer to access the user creation bit to print the ticket thing?

You mentioned a control box too - is that something separate form the router thing/printer and repeaters?

I like the idea, but with the zyxel one it has a walled garden to put the hotel information on, and maybe an online room service ordering page...

It has a web interface...pretty straightforward actually. The central box acts as the base station. It doeal's with the encryption and management, and the devices around the Hotel are the radio transmitters/receivers.

It's a shame you're not local, otherwise I would take you too see for yourself.

Where abouts are you? I don't mind travelling a bit to see what happens.

So a computer is needed for this to work? I read about the keypad...

EDIT: Is this the same one?

That is the same one yes. It isn't actually the exact same kit in the Hotel (I would need to go and look).

We're in London BTW - the Hotel is in Soho.
