    Network Issues

    Hi all.

I have my pc hardwired into a Netgear G Router, now about five times a day, the net will drop out or get extremely slow and buggy, this normally results in útorrent stating I am not connectable, various games having issues finding servers, and websites not loading.

I am with Virgin Media, and all drivers installed on Windows Xp, yet when I am on Vista X64 SP1 Ultimate I don't get this

    Re: Network Issues

Check your windows "system" Event Log (start->run->eventvwr.msc) for errors from the tcpip service mentioning connection limit errors.

To fix for XP, google for "lvllord". The patch will be overwritten whenever tcpip.sys is replaced by any Windows updates.

    Re: Network Issues

if your torrenting it can crash routers due to the number of connections. Limit that in uTorrent.

    Re: Network Issues

I had this with my last router years back now your connecting too strong and the router cuts out netgears are known for this problem next time you buy a router get a belkin or something. I had exact same problem though with utorrent it was so annoying i went to official site and got support I fiddled around with settings which made it great for a while but it was still dropping never tried it with vista as shortly after i binned that sucka and got a sweex router till i got my new nice N1 belkin

I advise anybody to avoid netgear cheap routers there terrible!
