    Help - HD playback problems.

Just received my first Blu-ray disc today and already I'm having problems.

Twice now during playback at no discernible time interval the screen goes completely black. The sound continues as the disc is still playing and there is now no access to the PC. The only way out is the OFF button.
I have installed, the player (LG GGC-H20L) supplied software, Cyberlink PowerDVD, which on my first attempt to play the disc upgraded itself to version 7.3 via the internet. Both the graphic card and monitor are HDCP ready. So what can be the problem? any suggestions please chaps.

It maybe a compatibility problem . You will have to try and eliminate whether it is the player, software or your computer hardware that is causing your problem . Easiest way to do this is to fit the player in another pc (friend's maybe , if you don't have a another one) and retry.

I just thought that the PowerDVD software was quite buggy to tell the truth, shame, pretty good software when it works.

Which version of the software do you get with the drive, the standard/OEM or the Max/Ultra version?
Most recent update seems to be to build 3730a, you've already done that, what Blu-Ray disc is it?

Re: Help - HD playback problems.

You could also try the AnyDVD HD trial, see if that fixes the issues for you.

I didn;t think that your card was fully HD specced up either to be honest, hardware acceleration and all.
