    Freeview TV.

    Hello.
Right now I have an Analogue TV/Monitor.
The problem I have is I want to get Freeview.

I'm renting right now and cannot set up a rooftop ariel. One main reason is I'll be wanting to move out soon, so finding an alternative to a rooftop ariel would be a lot more convienient.

Right now, with my ariel with built in booster, I can only get 3 normal TV channels. Only 1 is really watchable. I bought a set top box but cannot find a single channel.

Would another powerfull booster be enough or is a rooftop ariel essential?

I checked on the website an my area should be fine for digital and freeview.
It's wierd, I have a portable digital radio and it works fine.

    Re: Freeview TV.

DAB and Freeview operate on completely different bands so recieving one doesn't mean you will recieve the other.

If you are struggling to get analogue TV then Digital is going to be a long shot without replacing your aerial. Something like this might be good:
Maplin > One For All - Flat Indoor Aerial

    I have this ariel:

Buy One For All Amplified Indoor Amplified Aerial. at Argos.co.uk

It seems to be working okay.

I even have the model down from this one but that isn't as good.

    Re: Freeview TV.

personally never had any luck with indoor ariels but for analogue there not much probs I would def go with an indoor in your situation as at least you can get every channel with maybe just a bit of moving about. The argos one looks the job I do say and unlike outdoor one you can always take it with you xD

It still don't seem to be working okay.

Just wondering if there is a limit to how many Signal boosters I can hook up to the bloody thing?

This really is a pain in the ass.

    Re: Freeview TV.

If your signal is noisy, and you boost it, you are boosting the noise as well.

You can also have too strong a signal, it overloads the reciever and it isn't able to tune to anything meaningful.

    Aww crap

Why am I so bloody retarded?
    Why?

All these things I have problems with are pretty straight forward and simple things.
I'm suprised I can even wipe my own ass and dress myself.
