    av capture device

I have a new computer running windows vista home premium and have just bought an Ikasu AV 820 usb audio and video capture device on ebay. The driver loaded ok but I cannot get the driver software to run. As soon as the program opens it comes up with an error message "microsoft visual c + + runtime library error. Application has requested runtime to terminate in unusual way." It then closes down the program. Has anyone come across this situation and managed to cure it.
    Thanks

I tried looking for newer drivers for you, but couldn't find anything.

If there is a manufacturers web address on the packaging, have a look there for newer drivers.

    Re: av capture device

Thanks for looking, I actually contacted Ikasu support but they were not helpful. All they suggested was that the device was faulty and should be returned to the seller when actually it is clear that it is a compatibility problem with windows vista even though the product is "certified for windows vista" .
As the driver is loaded a screen states that it is suitable for xp and vista. It may be that the latest version of vista is not compatible.
    thanks

Not used Vista much but have found in XP that is you go to the application *.exe file and go to properties and tell the application to run in XP compatibility mode instead of Vista mode you might have some luck.

    Hope this helps.

I have now tried running the application in xp compatibility mode but it still comes up wth the same error message and closes the program.

    IKASU AV 820 "Video Grabber"

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, I seem to have a similar problem

I am trying to put the softwear onto my new laptop which is runs on Windows XP.
Whilst trying to install the driver I'm getting the following error message..."The softwear you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify it's compatability with Windows XP"

Has anyone got a solution? I've tried locating a new driver from the Ikasu site but the error message still appears.

    Thanks

    Dave
