I can animate software and handycams

Hi I have a mac laptop with I can animate software. Does anyone know whether I can animate will capture still images from a basic handycam, powered through the mains? Apparently there is a way of capturing images without using batteries or tapes.

Depends on the capabilities of the handycam. If it has firewire output, then yes you probably can capture the images for processing with whatever software you like.
