PC Won't Start!

Nvidia 7800GT
SB Audigy 2ZS
DDR2 4GB

Hi guys hopfully somone can shed some light on my problem. When I start up the PC it powers on then gives one long and 3 short beeps before shutting off, it then tries to start up on it's own again repeating the same thing in an endless cycle. I've tried ever stick of ram alternately in each of the slots to no avail.

A month before this I had a similar problem and discovered by taking one stick of ram out it then started up ok but a month on and this solution no longer relavent unless all my ram including some new sticks I got have all blown.

Could be a dead motherboard... can you test the other components in another pc?

Have you checked that all the power (24/28 pin+ 4pin mobo connections) and gfx card connectors are properly seated? Same goes for the 7800GT, maybe worth reseating it just to make sure, before starting to go down the route of motherboard failure? I assume you don't get a post on screen?

The beeps will tell you what is wrong with your computer. If you find out the make of your BIOS then you can find the meaning of the beeps.
