    Question about overclocking

hello, I would like to overclock my e4500 from its stock 2.2ghz speed, on a msi p35neo2-fr. Before starting, I was wondering whether increasing the FSB results in a better overclock or the multiplier? Also, how either of them can affect the cpu voltage levels?

    Re: Question about overclocking

You can't increase the multiplier unless you have a Core 2 Extreme, which your CPU is not.
The only way you can overclock is to increase the FSB

You should be able to increase the clock speed by 20~30% easy without even touching the CPU voltage level. Make sure you set your ram to DDR2-667, then overclocking will bring it back to around DDR2-800.

    Re: Question about overclocking

oh i posted the wrong thing. What i meant was that is it better to have a higher fsb or higher multiplier. Also, my ram is 4-4-4-12 at the moment because it is factory overclocked. should i change it to 5-5-5-15 or 5-5-5-18 ? it runs at 2.1v
