    hey everyone.

Basically i had to restart my computer and when it came to booting bk up it failed to do so.

ive taken everything apart and tried again.. but it starts up with all the fans and leds then 5seconds into loading up everyting dies.. then unless i wait 5mins and take the power supply plug out. i cnt even get it to react at all..

i have no idea where to start to solve this problem..

Sounds like it's either the PSU or the motherboard. Do you have another computer in the house? Try a known working PSU to boot your system - if that doesn't work I'd say it's most likely the motherboard but be sure to try assembling the PC outside the case to eliminate shorts on the case etc.

Dead and dying power supply. What PSU do you have and how old is it?

I agree. I had this happen to me once. Well, twice infact. With two identical ASUS boards. By the time the second one went, the CPU and RAM was old tech and I struggled to get a replacement board at all.
