    NTbackup

As part of my backup processes I use NTbackup on a SBS2003. Recently it has stopped working i.e. does not do the backup. The process starts and then just sits there. If NTbackup launched seperately it still does exactly the same - starts and goes no further - logfile just reports runner finished 22 hours later. Have tried launching from cmd and dos but makes no difference.

Usual MS advice is NBG. Would appreciate any views from Hexus please.

create a new admin account and log into that, retry NTBackup. I found that I had an issue with NTBackup and it was something to do with the local account.

    Re: NTbackup

Are you manually using NTBackup.exe or doing all of this through the SBS backup console within Server Management?

Ordinarily it is via the server management but it will not function manually through the run command.
