    Question Soundblaster I/O Module not available now can I buy a lead that does the same thing?

    Creative did an adaptor called the Soundblaster Digital I/O Module;

    http://us.store.creative.com/Sound-B...B002DS2IRA.htm

    But it does not seem to be available any more, can I buy a lead elsewhere that does the same thing? (I need a optical TOSlink output)

    Could I use one of these;

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toslink-ADAP...0351371&sr=8-4

    or is it not that simple?

    Re: Soundblaster I/O Module not available now can I buy a lead that does the same thi

    i'm guessing u use an x-fi sound card.... i had the same problem as you, but luckily someone on hexus was selling one and i managed to grab it. you could try ebay to get one..... the reason i think that the optical in/out won't work unless you have one of these modules is that unless you have it then the soundcard doesn't know what to do if the source its connected to.

    if you can't find one then the only option i know of is to get one of the break out boxes, ala the ones found on the fata1ty champion editions and elite version.
