Overclocking

Ok, so im running a

Intel P4 3.06 Ghz
Nvidia 8500GT
2GB DDR2 RAM

I have a new Zalman fan which I intend to mount on my CPU within the next few days. Should I overclock my CPU or wont I get much more performance out of it?

Also, Should I OC the 8500GT? or should I get some better cooling for it. its a 'Jeantec' card I think, Not too sure.

Also, What would be the best way of overclocking these?

I would overclock your graphics card instead of your CPU.The Pentium 4 runs hot and overclocking it means additional heat and higher power consumption too.

Should I get an after market GPU cooler for it? The one on the car is a bit small and doesnt look like it would cope well with an overclock.

What brand is the card you have?

It would be a waste to get an after market cooler, as you could use the money and buy yourself a better gfx card.

Anyhow I agree with cat, P4s runs hot so you would be better off avoiding overclocking them.

so should i bother ocing the card with the standard fan on? as I said before it looks a bit weak (Ill try get a picture up tomorow).
