    A: drive?!?

Wasn't sure where to put this so have stuck it in "Help"...

Might anyone have any ideas as to where an "A: Drive" might come from (in Win7 Pro x64) when I don't actually have one? Taking this one stage further, how do I get rid of it? It's little more than an annoyance but I want it gone.

A floppy drive isn't just not connected - there isn't even one fitted in the case (and even if I had one, it wouldn't fit as the Fortress FT02 doesn't have any external 3.5" bays).

    Re: A: drive?!?

For me at least, there's an option in the BIOS to disable the floppy disk. Like you, I have no A: drive so I've ticked disable and haven't had any issues.

    Re: A: drive?!?

Is it disabled in the BIOS?

I think this is what creates the phantom floppy drive in Windows.
