    Crucial Ballistix DDR2-1066 help

Right I bought a gig of Crucial DDR2 1066 ram. Had it a little while and then realised it was running at 800mhz rather than 1066. I changed the settings in the bios to the following:

    Memclock Value: 533mhz
    Cas Latency:5
    TRCD:5
    TRP:5
    TRTP:AUTO
    TRAS:15
    TRC:AUTO
    TWR:AUTO
    TRRD:AUTO
    TWTR:AUTO
    TRFC0:AUTO
    TRFC1:AUTO
    TRFC2:AUTO
    TRFC3:AUTO

    Mem OverVoltage: 2.0v (from 1.85)

The specs for the Memory can be found here.

When I check in Everest CPU-ID I get this:
    .

Everything seems to look OK to me. But does anyone see any obvious mistakes I have made?

The things I am worried about are the memory voltage as that is not displayed in Everest and the DRAM:FSB ratio of 16:6 (is that correct!?).

Finally I want to buy another gig of ram fairly soon as the Crucial ballistix DDR2-1066 does not work out of the box I don't really see any point in getting it over the DDR2-800 stuff and overclocking it myself by just altering the same bios settings.

Can anyone think of any reason why that might not work, would I not get the same BIOS menu options with DDR2-800!?

    Thanks in advance

Don't worry actually, according to my mobo manual due to an AMD cpu limitation AMD cpus only support ddr2-800 in dual channel, so as I am going to buy another gig for dual channel it doesn't really make any difference.

    Re: Crucial Ballistix DDR2-1066 help

The DRAM:FSB ratio is perfectly fine.

Thing with 800mhz RAM is that it won't overclock to 100% for sure stabily. If it did they'd sell it as 1066mhz RAM instead of 800mhz. But there is always the chance that it will overclock to 1066mhz but it's rare.

    I've got Crucial Ballistix 800Mhz CL4 2.0V that won't even run at 1000mhz at CL5 or CL6 or CL7 at 2.2V. Max I can push them is CL5 950Mhz at 2.0V.

Thanks for your help. Looks like I will be getting 3 sticks of 1gig ballistix DDR2 800mhz.

    Thanks anyway d00d
