    Wireless headphones, horrible interference

Second question day, I'm just full of them today .

Got a nice pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones for watching TV when everybody is in bed. I plug them into the blu-ray player and whilst watching TV they are fantastic. However, when I try and watch a dvd or blu-ray I get terrible interference from the headphones. It only happens when a disk is spinning, so I'm pretty certain that's what's causing it.

It's not so much interference as it is a high pitched humming sound. It's very consistent and the louder I turn the volume up the louder it gets. Makes watching a dvd impossible whilst using them.

So, it only happens when I use the wireless headphones and watch a dvd. I've tried moving the transmitter around but that has no effect at all. I've tried all the different channels and frequencies the headphones offer, but each one has the same effect.

Pretty stumped as to why it is happening, I would think the headphones are picking up the sound of the disk spinning, but then again I really have no idea what I'm talking about .

If anybody has any advice it would be gratefully appreciated .

    Re: Wireless headphones, horrible interference

i have some rs130 wireless headphones, and i get interference too.

i noticed that this only happens if the lights in my room are on, doesn't matter if the lightbulbs or energy savings ones or not.

Don't know if that helps or not?

Get the exact same thing here on my wireless set when my habistat thermostat kicks in, none of the other thermostats effect it though.
Another odd thing, when my mobile phone rings, the led light of the thermostat blinks in accordance with the rings!
