Check your cables - gigabit ethernet requires all 8 pairs to be connected. If you've got a pair down in the cable it'll switch down to 100.

I've got a 100mbit router too (a draytek) and the way i got around it was to buy a 4 port gigabit switch and hook all the pc's to that and then the switch to the router - that way your PCs have their own gigabit lan, with a 100mbit hook to the router for internet.
Code:PC1-----1GBIT--------->GIGABIT SWITCH------100mbit------->DLINK ROUTER / \ ¦ PC2-----------1GBIT--------+
Mine house is wired up just as, Dangels is with no problems running gigabit. Just get yourself a 4 port gigabit switch and you're sorted.
Might give that a go, although im tempted to just buy the dir 655 as it would just replace the dir 615 and save space over buying a switch.

I mean..wireless N has been out a while now, is there anything new in the not so distant future ?
It is almost certainly much cheaper to use separate router and GbE switch. That is why the demand is not there and the price of integrated 802.11n & GbE routers are high.
Anyone paying 165 quids for a 4 port router would be out of their mind.
802.11n barely saturates the 10/100 network assuming super clean wireless signal with no interference. 300Mbps link speed on wireless doesn't mean you can actually push 300Mbps over. In 99% of case the actual throughput is less than 100Mbps.

I would personally go for a seperate gigabit switch everytime...no real downsides and its a hell of alot cheaper
When I upgraded my Lan, I created 2 - one for the Pcs - operating at Gigabit, and one operating at 100/10 for legacy and peripherals (printers, VoIP ddevices) that didn't support Gigabit. The link between the two is the 100 Mb switch built into the router.

A lot are saying get a switch which is not you're asking check the switch on your router is GB else yoou're never going to get a GB connection its not important unless you have say a networked drive you want quick access to or a other pc on you're network you want to share/access.
