    Realtek Audio Drivers

I have seen it done where the Speakers plugged into the rear and the headphones plugged into the front audio jack can be made to play the same output using Realtek Audio Drivers.

Does anybody know how to achieve this? (I am running Vista 64-bit)

    Thanks.

Not sure if you're using the same Realtek audio drivers as I am but for me I open it from the bottom right of the taskbar and thehn select "Device advanced settings".

I then select "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simulataneously." and all is solved!

    Re: Realtek Audio Drivers

    Thanks Ulti.

I tried this and it still doesn't work. I have the same driver program, but when I have this option on and both Headphones (front jack) and speakers (1 rear jack - plugged into 'front speakers out') the two devices literally play two different audio streams. Programs will only play sounds out of whichever device is set as the default device (I get a tab for Speakers and another for 'HD Audio Second Output' - my headphones)

    Re: Realtek Audio Drivers

Hmm you are right, I remember doing it before and it seemed to work but trying again right now it only plays sound out of the default output.

EDIT: After researching, it seems only Windows XP and Vista had this function. Windows 7 has removed the function with the Realtek drivers and it is impossible without using other drivers or another sound card.

I just read your thread and it seems that you run vista though so theoretically it should work, I have only used XP and windows 7 though so I'm not sure how to enable it in Vista.
