After update and away for a couple of weeks.

Hi guys.
After having a few issues with my build the last couple of weeks I finally got round to update my GFX driver which I though was at fault. I work away (A LOT) and I updated windows 7 64 bit OS through the automatic update tool once I returned. Lots to do, anyway. After the update the computer took ages to either reset and close down. I searched through a couple of forums and ran a device manger scan for hardware changes. As you can see [IMG] Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG] I have an issue with the storage controller not being able to update and no drive found.

I ask, is this ok to have the driver missing and not found or if not is this the reason to why the system is hanging on shut down /reset

Whats the motherboard ? Might be worth popping over to the website of the board you have and seeing if there is a Windows 7 driver available for it.

Its an ASUS rampage 2 extreme. The computer I bought from SCAN came wih an overclock. If I update the MB driver would this remove my overclock settings too ??.

No, the drivers won't effect the overclock scan have applied to it, but if you flashed the bios that would indeed effect the overclock.
