    shy dont you sell the board on the bay for spares? u should still be able to get something for it?

    You say it's a £150 mobo and you don't want to replace it. Fair enough.

    Question is, how much does it cost you if it blows your PSU, CPU, memory and new graphics card? It happened to me in the past, although not quite as dramatically as yours!

    Might even be worth sending the board back to the retailer - even if it isn't faulty (i.e. it's solely the card) they might agree to check it out for you and make sure it's okay.
