    DV Camera editing on PC

I just got a new DV video camcorder and I was wondering how I can edit them on my PC? I know I need some software, but do I need a video capture card or is there some better way to do this?

nope you shouldnt need a capture card assuming it has a firewire output which it should have all you need is to have a firewire port, then all you need is some video software which there is plenty of but i know little about

You could try something like Pinnacle, or Adobe Premiere if you're feeling super rich

Hmmm. Are there any decent editors for under 100 pounds?

here is Pinnacle Studio 9 for under £40
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...262772-6921424

and again, but this time with a firewire card and cable for under £60

hope this helps - you could always use Windows Movie Maker, which is part of XP, so is kinda "free"

There's also a 30 day free trial of the software at the Pinnacle website

Thanks. I'll look into it, I'm going to Hong Kong soon so I might get it from there.
