    Shocking earphones

I’ve just had an electric shock through my earphones (Senn CX300 II) hooked up to my laptop! Not only that; post shock the left earphone started to output white noise and the right channel cut out. I thought my Senns or laptop’s audio had packed up but after pulling the earphones out and plugging them back in returned everything to normal… strange.

    Hexus, what happened? Static electricity?

I'm thinking you have a short somewhere.
