ok i have been getting this error for a while now, and its starting to piss me off.

Sometimes it will not happen for weeks at a time, other times more than once in a day. [Its a BSOD btw]
the M$ article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315266 doesnt really help me that much, so i'm looking to other sources (here )

I notice that it seems to be happening under heavy disk activity - either unpacking large rars or encoding video - tho it doesnt happen with every rarunpack or video encode.

My FSB is overclocked from 166 to 200, and i've got the chip running at 3200 speeds[200x11]

Could overheating be the problem? The CPU temp is at 30 degrees C do i doubt its that, tho the northbridge could be, or maybe the Hard disks...

The NB has one of those shiny bl00 Zalman passive heatsinks on it.

Any ideas??

maybe your overclock is too much... try running prime95 and see if it throws up any errors - you could try giving your CPU some more volts too (but that would drive up temperatures..)

if you're using the nvidia ide driver, don't.

kernel_stack_inpage_error is an error reading data from the page file into memory which would tend to point to a disk or a memory fault (possibly cache on drive or CPU) but may be due to a corrupt page file.

As well as running Prime95, would also be worth moving your page file to a different partition and running manufacturers diags on your drives.

not using the nvidia IDE driver eh..wel that mite be a plan =) i'm going to reinstall my mobo drivers tonite anyhow and see how it goes, if that dont work then i'll try running at stock =)
