    Flashy Flashy

    I just bought my Abit IC7 Max 3 and i'm fitting a Mach I to it, and its giving me duff temps (its gives me 4 degrees C instead of -30/-15)
    I have been advised by chiyau to flash my bios to version 1.6.
    I have downloaded it from the abit site and I was kinda unsure about what todo next, I know i have to make a bootable floppy, how do I do that, use format> make MS Dos start up disk? I wasn't sure if that option was right?
    And then what would I do after that (I have never really flashed a BIOS before)
    Thanks

    Abits flashmenu should be able to update this to the version from their website.

    Linky :: http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/bios/flashmenu.php

    Hope this helps

    Lol, it would be helpful if I had my windows running, thanks for it anyway.

    I got my new mobo the same day as my Prometeia so I have only booted it up once to make sure it works so havent installed any of there software, i'd like to get it all working in the bios first before I go installing stuff in windows.

    If no one else replies I suppose i'll have to use flashmenu, thanks for that anyway

    IIRC press ALT+F2 on boot mate - this should give access to the bios flash ( well it does on the NF7-S ).

    (when it says press del for bios - ALT+F2 for flashmenu )

    or alternatively

    hopefully this will help you more
