    Wink 3rd party screensaver app

So, at work, some 3rd line muppets decided that IT guys should also be forced to see the same screensaver that normal users see - the boring corporate screensaver.

I am not happy and want to go back to the old way of how I had a screensaver - my pictures showing up as a slideshow screensaver. This is most likely caused by a Group policy and Screensaver selection is grayed out for me.

Is there a 3rd party software that I can download that overrides the group policy screensaver and shows my custom screensaver instead ?

You'll probably get in trouble for trying to override group policy. Why not just talk to whoever made the decision?

I'd agree with that comment, it has obviously been done for a reason. Chat to them to see if you can revert back.

So you understand their reason for doing it now then? And you gave your reason for wanting it different?

Seriously? You're at work, deal with it! I'm sure you are being paid to do a job, rather than circumventing rules/restrictions.
Don't be that guy, plus I'm sure the 'muppets' made the change for a reason. Yes I'm sure you could get round it, but just don't.

    Re: 3rd party screensaver app

But just in case you wanted to, is it not possible to just rename your screensaver to the same name as the current screensaver and overwrite the screensaver that is currently in use?
