No output from graphics card & odd boot sequence

    Hi,
    Dell Inspiron 530.
The system is as bought and I have restored HDD to factory.

Some time ago the output from the GeForce stopped working but the on board works fine. Boots up but the monitor is in darkness and standby light is on.

I lived with the onboard but want to use the GeForce again.
Tried another card but the same problem occurs.

I replaced the motherboard like for like and the same problem.
Checked BIOS and AGP is se to primary....
    Any idea's?

Also, without the card in the PC it boot up fast and fine.
With the card in the PC, even if the monitor is not connected, and is connected to the onboard, the fan starts, stops, starts, stops then boots fine on third attempt....
Again, any help would be great.

Ok, it would appear that changing the card with a different one has returned the PC to a normal boot. I also has an output to the screen now hooray.
    One to remember.
