can software measure power consumption on a pc ?
can software measure power consumption on a pc ?
Not AFAIK.
If you've got one of the new Corsair AX i PSU's the corsair link can, but it only works with one of them
Probably the best way to monitor it is by having one if those energy monitors at home.
Wait until early morning when everyone is sleeping and check the watts used ( mine is usually 200w )
Turn on your PC and you can check what the meter shows now ( mine would usually show around 450ish watt with 2 monitors on )
Play a game then check energy monitor again ( mine might hit 570ish watt )
Simple maths tells me that my PC idles at 250w and full load at 470 watt.
Please remember that the energy monitor is NOT the most accurate so these values might be higher or lower than what they actually are. Will help give you an idea of what to expect.
you can get the heat of board but not power consumption which is more use
