Re: EVGA GTX 670 FTW problem/newbie build, low 3DMARK 11 score

My thanks for the reassurances (chuckskull) regarding my CPU, but I think I may have been a tad to delicate with my first CPU cooler instal, and another go might do the trick this time.
Before taking the whole thing apart go into the bios and set the cpu voltage, to default or auto(not sure how it's marked in the asus bios). If there's a reset to default option in AIsuite, give that a click too, see what that does to the temps or go ahead and put your overclock back on.
Thats just the thing I have reset my BIOS and uninstalled AIsuite, but bits of it remain still and subsequently the after affects of an CPU overclock in Windows 8.

I even chased it up on the ASUS forums (AI Suite II uninstall cleaner/Windows 8 problems) http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...503#post239503
Effectively on Windows 8 for some bazaar reason it'll seem to download Compressed (zipped) Folders at first but when trying to open it'll read
    Compressed (zipped) Folders Error
    Windows can't open this folder.
The compressed (zipped) Folder C:\Users\..... Downloads\Cleaner.zip is invalid
    Extract compressed (zipped) Folders)

Cannot complete the compressed (zipped) folders extraction wizard
The compressed zip folder is empty
Before you can extract files, you must copy files to this compressed folder

    To close wizard click finish
I don't expect to problem solve this here and now, but to simply reinstall Windows 8 as I haven't anything important on it yet.
