    SD-MMC card reader

I need help so this seems like the place to post it

I bought an MMC-SD USB card reader. I have tried it on Windows 2000 and XP with the same resulting behaviour. The USB reader gets detected fine as far as I can tell, but then when I try to read my MMC card it says please insert a disk. The MMC card is a 32MB one that came with my Nokia 6230 and works fine in the phone. Does the MMC card have to be formatted or something to work on my computer?

This might sound a bit obvious but have you tried the mmc card the other way up?

I have a 6230 myself and bought a USB connected card reader to transfer some MP3s onto the phone, after much messing around i tried to insert the card the other way up and it worked straight away.

Silly me, thinking that label side up was the correct way to put it in!!

Lol, yeah I have tried it both ways up, although it only slots in nicely one way. I have not found a solution to this problem.

I do not think this is related to my card not working with the SD-MMC: I feel a small portion of the memory card maybe faulty, as sections of a few pictures/videos have become corrupted. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
