As you've got 512 Mb of corsair already installed it would be a good idea to get the same type of memory from any corsair retailer as mixing modules may affect stability.
cheers for the reply,
thats what i thought. but i can't seam to find a single module of the matched pair i have.
anyone know where i could get one from.
thank you.
Which memory do you have installed ?
Once I have that information I'll be able to assist more
hi,
if you follow the link on the 1st post it should take you to an ebuyer page with it on.
however if the link is down it is Corsair DDR400 / PC3200, non-ECC, Unbuffered, CL2.5.
thanks for the help.
512 Mb Corsair Value Select will be fine as they all have the same timings
Are you sure? I though there were two types - one with a CAS latency of 3, and one with a CAS latency of 2.5?Originally Posted by WildmonkeyUK

Most of my work collegues that have Corsair VS ram all run it at CAS 2.5 on a variety of systems.
Hope this explains the above comparisons
crucial should do the job fantasmically well!

superb compatibility! > and guarenteed to work, ive yet to have any probs! > direct from the supplier!
Ah, found the answer: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/valueselect.html
Corsair produces two different versions, just to confuse us
As for this RAM:http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=48122, the fact that it doesn't have C3 on the end of the product code means that it should be CL2.5.
Hope this helps
Mike
