    Radeon Driver issue

Right guys need some help here, Google is not helping and this is pretty frustrating.

So I tried to get Lucid's MVP software back up and running again, Monitors connected to iGPU and Radeon used only when required.
After much trial and error it seemed this would not work.

So plugged the monitors back into the Radeon, changed the bios settings to boot to the PCI-E card and rebooted.

Now Windows refuses to load the Radeon drivers, the card is now listed as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" in device management.

I have tried manually pointing it to the correct drivers, It recognises the card is a Radeon but gives me the error of "The system cannot find the path specified"

Tried uninstalling the device, it comes back next reboot, tried reinstalling the CCC, upon reboot it cant find the card.

I am at a loss now, any ideas??

    Re: Radeon Driver issue

Sounds like Windows/registry might be messed up rather than drivers particularly. I'd try a system restore.

You could try using an application like driver fusion that will completely remove all instances of the old drivers and then allow you to reinstall them cleanly.

I would also advise a full wipe & reinstall from scratch, with the latest AMD GFX driver the first thing you install.

Did you check the Bios settings? There might be conflicts there. Uninstall all drivers relating to display output, I've read how that Lucid Virtu works, seems great but you get a minor lag in frames.

If that doesn't work do a System Restore - assuming you actually have that setup.

If all else fails, a clean install of Win7 might work. But I highly suggest that you refrain from doing this without figuring out what's wrong first.
