I think it's time for an upgrade!

I built my current set up about 8 years ago, maybe even 9.. I have a Q6600 if that shows it's age a little more!
I'm looking to majorly update even component gradually over time, and thinking starting from the foundations.. with the motherboard.

    Here's my current specs:

    Processor - Intel Q6600
    Motherboard - Abit IP35
    Graphics Card - Radeon HD7800 2GB
    RAM - 4GB DDR2 (2 x 2GB)
    Power Supply - 550w Corsair
    Hard Drive #1 - 1TB Western Digital
    Hard Drive #2 - 500GB Samsung
    ------------------------------------------------
    Keyboard - Razer Deathstalker
    Mouse - Razer Naga

The items in green are what I have recently replaced, and I've marked in bold what I would like to upgrade next.

It's been a while since I've been "on the ball" with modern hardware, so any recommendations would be great! I am more familiar with Intel CPUs as oppose to AMD, I've only ever owned Intels.

After having a quick browser earlier this this evening, I've found what I believe to be a pretty good deal: http://www.ebuyer.com/603583-ga-z87-...rd-ga-z87-ds3h

Have a look at http://www.logicalincrements.com/. It's pretty useful for finding components at your price point and what goes well together.

Re: I think it's time for an upgrade!

@NickMackz: Nice little website there, will have a look round tomorrow when I have some time - thanks!

@Willzzz: I knew something was missing from my OP - I would say around the £400 mark, but have no issues in waiting if something perfect comes my way for a little over.

http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/ - great site for quickly looking up some configs. I'd recommend currently an i5 system with at least 8GB RAM (the more the merrier).

Re: I think it's time for an upgrade!

I've recently migrated from a similar system, and due to budget constraints went for an AMD FX-6350 with 8Gb of RAM. The best investment for me was the SSD as using it with Win8 makes the PC boot up and get into a working state so much faster.
