LG bluray registry issue

Hi hope someone can help, my bluray player isn't registering and has got this to the device status box "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)" i have disconnected the device unplugged it and then reconnected and it still comes up with this in its status box tried gone into configure device and that doesn't work has anyone got any more ideas really appreciate any help anyone can give

A quick Google search lead to this Microsoft support page - worth trying the solution. It does involve editing the registry though, so care needs to be taken...
