Win7 "Windows Installer" not doing its thing :(

Ive done the sfc/scannow, the unregister and regserver, all the hints n tips Ive found anywhere online.

Now it's not allowing me to uninstall Nero10. It's stopping AVG Free from updating, or installing a newer version.

MSSE refuses to install.

Avast wont work if I try that, it keeps crashing Chrome.

Help ?

Is the installation older than 2 hours?
If so, reinstal as it's probably killed itself

Nope, nothing. No restore points available either, most weird. I am resigned to do a clean install later on this AM, just collecting all the drivers, saving bookmarks and passwords etc.
