Question "No 08 cable connector connected"?

Everytime I start up my computer, I get that message along with my memory check and ect... Is there anyway to fix that? For instance what if I dont need it and it's just saying.

    Thanks!

Its 80 cable. And it means that your HDD is only connected with a 40connector IDE lead and so is limited to ATA33.

Go spend £3 in PCWorld and buy a 80connector IDE lead.

Can I turn that off for the time being? Is it searching for it or something? I.e. I do not have Sata so I turned it off in the Bios so it would stop searching for it in bios and slowing down boot time.

    Thanks!

Dont worry about it - it shouldnt stop it booting you just wont be getting the best out of your HDD. If it is stopping it booting then change the 'On Error' bit to something like none (this is usually set to 'all but keyboard')
