Need advice on HD TV Card for PVR rebuild

With the demise of my 2008 SD PVR, earlier this year, I am looking to reuse my Z87 mobo with 4770k to build a HD Twin-tuner PVR.

I am also hoping to reuse Windows 8.1 with WME but am not averse to trying some new software - if I'm forced to Windows 10.

I have access to two Freesat or two Freeview TV connections so my options aren't limited - would prefer using the Freesat connections are I would like to reuse my KWorld SD Freeview PCI Card, if possible.

I would also prefer a PCI/PCI-E internal card over USB for tidiness.

    Recommendation please.

Black Gold have been the cards I have had the most luck with....and have in fact work flawlessly in most situations and installs.

    Avoid Tevvi like the plague....

You will probably want to stay with MCE, which means no upgrade to Windows 10. I have yet to find anything that makes tuner cards work as simply and reliably as MCE does.

You might even want to replace your current SD card with one of these which will give you 2 x HD Freeview plus 2 x HD Freesat connections.

Thanks for the reply. I have had a Black Gold card before which was DOA or didn't like my Gigabyte motherboards...Wouldn't register under Device manager. I will probably give this a whirl.

Which of theirs have you used?
