Question Memory for Compaq Armada M700 laptop

I've just bought myself a new laptop, great machine in desperate need for more memory. Came with only 128MB and 2000 pro installed, painfully slow.

I need to know if anyone is familiar with this model, and how picky it is with the memory modules. I know it needs PC100 SO-DIMM SDRAM 144p modules, but will I need the modules designed for this laptop with cas 2.0, or will it take any standard SO-DIMM cas 3.0 module? Since the price difference if I buy new modules is about x3 to x4 for cas 2.0 parts, I don't want to buy them "just to be sure".

It has 64MB of non-removable SDRAM, and a 64MB expantion module installed atm.
This is the Pentium 3 version of the M700 btw.

Thanks for any help, want to get started using it asap and it is really too slow right now.

Thanks man. But I just checked in there. They don't have the M700 listed

And I might mention I am on a tight budget, and I'm mostly looking for used parts. I payed 500SEK, or about £38 for the whole laptop. I don't have much money, but I'll pay what I must pay to get it in top shape.

I've gone through a bunch of other memory configurators, but of course they all sugest the cas 2.0 modules specifically built for the M700 and a few other models. What I'm really looking for is if other modules will work anyways. I just want to find out what this laptop really requiers from the memory modules, what I am supposed to look for.
