ASUS FM2 motherboard, A58M-E, doesn't boot

Evening,

Slight issues with this motherboard. The PC doesn't boot. The fans spin up, both the CPU fan and the case fans, but nothing beyond that.

Changed the PSU, RAM, using 2x different CPUs, with or without dedicated GPU and different RAMs. Obviously without any unnecessary connected peripherals.

The PC was unused for 2-3 months then when tried again, it wouldn't come on. Nothing obvious on the board after visual inspection.

Am I missing something obvious or should I just bin/WEEE it?

Cleared CMOS? Replaced the CMOS battery?

Only things I can think of that you haven't mentioned.

Mains cable/fuse. Hate it when those go, you just assume a simple mains cable will work and go change everything else first

I had that, have you turned the splash screen off? If it's off mine won't post headless, with the splash screen on it will. No idea why and it isn't referenced in the manual.

Yeah splash screen was off. Will turn it on and see if it makes a difference

Had a spare cable from the workshop and also the customer's own power lead.

Just to confirm, you have tried 1 stick in slot 1 and 2 (but two different sticks)

Had 1333Mhz and 1600Mhz modules, from 2GB to 8GB per module. Usually I try with one, single module. If it doesn't boot with one, less likely it will boot with two
