    Re: Micro stutter causes?

Could be any number of things.

Background programs, corrupted drivers, thermal throttling of CPU or GPU, unstable overclock, slow mechanical hard drive, not enough GPU VRAM, kind of hard to pinpoint really.

You have no idea the problem you're trying to solve - I was about to start a thread on this very issue. It's a set of problems that can not be solved quickly or easily - so watch out for the thread I'm about to start as soon as I get passed the 5 post url posting issue. I'm not kidding when I tell you this is not you or you're hardware - it is most likely a known Windows bug and I intend to solve it with this comunities help.

Is it every game? or just a specific one? That CPU is dated and known forn not handling games like Battlefield 5

first try to uninstall drivers useing https://www.guru3d.com/files-details...-download.html , do it in safe mode, then install the newest available drivers and activate Hardware Accelerating GPU scheduling, it should to take some preassure from CPU. remember to restart after activating it

    Re: Micro stutter causes?

Firstly who said anything about games? The OP said its anytime and mainly when doing downloads, more incorrect advice given!!

Secondly the OP posted from Feb 2019, more than likely has their answer by now

    Re: Micro stutter causes?

Here are some things i have used to reduce stuttering on my Intel i5 with 970
    A)

    1. RMB on start button and press SEARCH
    2. Type
cmd then pick run as administrator
    3. Type
    bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
    4. Type
    bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

Is it Causes any problems Type the commands in again but Yes to No and True to False.

    B)

    Control Flow Guard
(To be safe make sure you have an AntiVirus running)

    1.Search and Open Exploit Protection
2.Click On the Program Settings Tab
3.Click On The + Add Programs To Customise
4.Click On Choose Exact File Path
5.Find Game Which You would Like To Try To Remove DX12 Stutter Click Open
6.Programs Settings For Game Opened ,Scroll Down To Control Flow Guard(Never Use For Global Setting)
7.Put Check Mark In Override System Settings And Turn From On To Off And Apply
    8.Restart PC.

    C) (Do this after updating to latest Nvidia drivers first) Disable Ansel

To disable Ansel. In your C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools (on Windows installed on C: drive) you can find NvCameraConfiguration.exe application (needs admin right to run). After running it, a dialog window is displayed and in the bottom part you can find Ansel status frame, check disabled there, then OK.

Also I disabled the pagefile altogether on my PC or if you still want one disable the one on the C: drive and put it onto D: .

    Thx
