Hi
Hoping someone can help.
I bought a laptop last week, it is a Lenovo legion 5 (non pro) 2021 version. it has the 5800H with IGP Vega and a 3070 RTX discrete GPU. I use a Samsung odyssey G7, 240 1440p external monitor. I am using my original charger for the laptop.
I got the laptop last week and it was great, I'm talking 130-150 fps in warzone with DLSS on at 1440p. really good performance. I installed windows 11 and everything was still fine, however the 512 nvme installed was full, I replaced the nvme with a 1tb one that I had and reinstalled windows 11, clean install and then used lenovo site to update drivers and install vantage.
The problem
Once I had everything reinstalled when I load a game I get 17fps in game play, AMD fidelity is an option AND DLSS in the settings. it gives the option to pick the GPU in the settings but it only has the Nvidia 3070 listed. I have tried setting the bios to discrete only. lastly i have reinstalled the entire OS using the lenovo recovery media... updated everything downloaded all the games etc again. still getting 17fps. if I change fidelity to balanced then it goes up to 40 fps. this prooves that the game is selectiung the onboard GPU over the 3070.
The nvidia control panel is installed and shows that i am using correct native Res and 240 hz, the game picks up the monitor and shows 240 fps. I have tried disconnecting the external display and using the laptop screen (1080, 144hz) but the same problem persists.
Any ideas of what else I can try?
Thanks in advance.
