Got some problems here, I know I done it last time but cannot get it to work now.
Trying to copy the origional contents of a 20gig HDD (my Cto a new empty (unalocated) partition at the begining of a 120gig HDD (the other partition has stuff on it).
Trouble is, if I clone the partition with ghost, the new partition wont boot from the 120, same deal with the copy partition in Partition Magic 8.0
I just get an error about "file missing C:\<windows root>\system32\HAL.DLL"
I think the problem has something to do with the new partition not getting asigned a drive letter, or not set as bootable.
If I put the 20gig back in and boot from that, it shows it as E: and disk management says its the system drive, while C: (the new partition on the 120) shows as just "active"
Any idea how I can get this to sucessfully clone my existing 20gig onto the 20gig partition on the new HDD and get it to boot, cus its driving me nuts now lol.
