Question Anyone read this and know what it means?

It's a page fault I get when trying to play retro games at work using FreezeSMS... as soon as I try to load a game this happens:

CORE caused an invalid page fault in
    module CORE.DAT at 018f:00435d79.

I don't have a clue, if anyone can diagnose it would be appreciated.

Check your ram. could be a faulty module.

    Cheers for reply 0iD

Is that what page faults are most of the time? Or are you just reading somthing in it I can't?

I can't really change the RAM because it's a work PC.. suppose I could do a mem test just to check though...

iirc invalid page faults are normally a faulty ram module or faulty/insufficient page file space. May also occurr if the ram's been overclocked a bit too far, but as it's a work PC it's unlikey.

    *edit*http://www.freezesoftware.com/bb/rea...on=print&TID=6 Sound familiar?

Thanks 0iD, have already seen that...my problem is it won't run ANY game, I can't get games to start whatsoever...

Works fine on my rig at home, the work PC is pretty naff but I guess that a RAM problem would be more random rather than just never letting me get anywhere...
Could be the GFX card as that sucks too...It can hardly handle the CAD packages I use!!

    Who knows... not me.

Nevermind, I've got 2 interviews over the next week for a new job so will prob have to say goodbye to the wprk PC anyway..

lol, yeah, our IT manager'd let us run Acad/ProE/Solid Works with a crappy MX440 if I'd let him. Still, get by with a Ti4200 which it has to be said is supprisingly capable.

Good luck with the interviews matey!

    Yep, our computers are naff!

I used to use AutoCAD and Proe at Uni, who do you work for? What you design? - got any jobs going?

Thanks, I'm sure the interviews will go well. It's more down to me than anything else really.. one of them will look good (have nice pc's and acres of desk space ) I'm sure a month or so from now I will be in a different part of the UK!

I work for these peeps generally in proposal & product development. Do the odd production job if they need something done in a hurry.

Money's not all that, but it's close to home & varied. Been there for the past 13 or so years. No jobs atm tho
