Umm, you may want to elaborate on your problems, "messing in the game" is hardly a description anyone can use to help you. It's Battlefield 2 btw .

ok, well the first time it was just hanging, then the game closed and went back to windows, the second time the screen went what i can only describe as fuzzy (like a tv) but still and i had to reboot.

Any problems with any other high spec games? Half Life 2 for example?

Battlefield 2 is one of those games that is 'picky' per se, if anything isn't completely right with your system it can refuse to play. To me, it sounds like a GFX/driver problem.. maybe attempt reinstalling/downloading drivers?

BF2 is VERY picky on GFX cards and drivers.

Check the read me for supported cards and driver versions.

As a general rule, make sure ALL your drivers are up to date and let BF2 install DX9.0c too...

You might also be ahving trouble with the SafeDisk Security protection on the disk, so check out :

    http://www.macrovision.com/products/...ownloads.shtml

    and

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

    as well.

Hope this is of some help.

BF2 also didnt like my DVD drive, admittedly it was a bit knackered but still played films and the like perfect.

I got it to install on it but it kept hanging on starting the game, so 5 mins and an unhappy sister later i had whipped out her drive and was playing.

a good excuse to get a shiny NEC writer

    hope this helps

It seems to be working now, thanks guys. Is there a story mode or what? Single player just seems to be "instant battle"

Consider SP an afterthought (which is kind of dissapointing because I was one of the strange few who enjoyed the campaign mode in BF1942 ). This game is pretty much a fps that's nicked a few devices from mmorpgs- the gameplay is totally online, you go up in ranks (see my sig), and the more you play the more weapons you unlock. Because of all that, they didn't really bother with single player. I'd give this game a good 9/10, but if you aren't going to play it online then it's more like a 3/10.
