Disappointed TV Tuner Buyer! How can I use TV tuner with digital set top box?

    1) I bought an ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 card and am disappointed that I can only get 79 or so channels (max on the card is apparently 125) Can I not get pay TV channels, movies, etc or higher channels even if I hook through a scientific atlanta 1000+ cable channel box?
    2) If not, is there any way to do this? OR
    3) Alternatively, is there a way I can capture movies on my Tivo and patch through my laptop to record via DVD?

So much for convergence, huh! Thank you in advance. This is a great resource!!

Spoke too soon. yes I can get the channels but cannot use the program guide to recorder automatically since the card is essentially serving as a TV with a real time recorder, not a Tivo-like functionality. But a huge improvement from just another analog tuner...

I hook my tv card up via my set top box(I have a hauppage pvr350). If I want to use the card to record something then I just program my set top box to change channel at the right time then use the tv card to record as normal(as well as the timer record prog which come with tv cards, there are loads of good programs which are designed for this - try tv-cards.com)
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
