Question Asus A8N SLi Deluxe Problems

Hey all. My first post here

Just recevied my goods from Scan to build my machine and running into problems.

I've got a Asus A8N Sli deluxe motherboard, Tagen 430w PSU, AMD 64 4000 CPU, 6800GT 256mb graphics card and corsiar 1gb memory. Connected everything together, all power leads to motherboard and CPU fan connected.

When I power up i get Mobos power green light, all the fans go including the Graphics card but i get not Bios beep, Nothing on screen either. Ive plugged my headphones to see if here the Mobo stating the issue but nothing.

Tried reseting the CMOS but still no luck

Any idea what the problem could be??

    Thanx in advance.

If power is going to the board but you're not getting POST you may want to begin by unplugging each and every power connector to the motherboard including the ATX headers to the power and reset switches (one of which may be stuck which is another common problem) before re-seating them. Also, find another stick of RAM to help your troubleshooting if you can but it looks at first glance like something simple to do with power distribution. If that fails, try running without the hdd attached just to see if that jolts it into life.

Sound graphics card related, but i have a simular problem with my Abit AN8 Ultra. It would not work with a DVI connection. I was tearing my hair out thinking it was GFX card related, but turned out to be the mobo. I had to plug in an old VGA monitor with a DVI-VGA adaptor, update the motherboard BIOS, then plug my TFT back in. Seems to be an isuse for many ABit AN8 * owners with BIOS v15 or lower.

Im sure I read a review relating to the Asus board and Corsair memory not being compatiable, reviewer had to use a different vendors memory which worked fine.... I would see if you can borrow some memory from someone just to prove this.

Corsair memory should work fine cos that's what I used to use with my A8N-SLI Deluxe. This may sound stupic but have you connected your monitor to your graphics card?

I had this exact problem with the same mobo back in April. Turned out that the motherboad was dodgy. Incidentally, I use Corsair XMS3200 memory and it works fine.
